# Forecast Operator Room: Membership Rules

## What this is

The Forecast Operator Room is a private library for finance, FP&A, and operations leaders who work on forecasts, reports, dashboards, and the numbers that reach leadership.

It is a library of reusable fixes for common forecasting and reporting problems. It is not a help desk for your company's systems.

## How to submit a problem

1. Use an example with the company details removed.
2. Never send live company data, passwords, private forecasts, board materials, deal files, client files, or proprietary code.
3. Keep each example short enough to read as a single, reusable problem.
4. Use your work email when you request access or submit a problem.
5. Expect the strongest problems to be answered as a short recorded breakdown saved to the library, not as a private support thread.

## What belongs here

- Common forecasting and reporting problems.
- Examples of dashboards or reports that mislead.
- Questions about setting up a clean, repeatable workflow.
- Checks that catch bad numbers before they reach a board deck.
- Short, scrubbed examples of a problem you are trying to solve.

## What does not belong here

- Confidential company data.
- Passwords or login details.
- Private forecasts.
- Board materials.
- Deal documents.
- Requests to build something for your specific company.
- Decisions about your company's spending.
- Questions about your company's strategy.

## How membership works

- Every request is reviewed by a person before any payment.
- The private library holds selected templates, recorded breakdowns, and worked examples.
- The submission form accepts scrubbed examples only.
- The most useful, most common problems become short recorded breakdowns for members.
- Anything specific to your company is handled separately as confidential advisory work.

## First topics

1. The dashboard that looks healthy while the trend has already turned.
2. Acquisition models that oversell the synergies and undersell the base business.
3. Numbers that do not tie out across regions or systems.
4. Catching bad data before it reaches a board deck or a budget.
5. Doing serious analysis on sensitive financials without exposing them.
